Our Operations

The Neuropsychiatric Clinic for Adults belongs to the section for addiction and neuropsychiatry and is located in the Psychiatry House, Uppsala. The clinic is a specialist psychiatric outpatient clinic with the task of investigating neuropsychiatric issues and treating ADHD and Tourette's syndrome. The clinic always focuses on the patient and strives to be at the forefront of investigation and treatment of neuropsychiatric problems. In order to offer our patients the best possible care, development work is an obvious part of our work. We strive for a good and pleasant working environment and let technology facilitate both for employees and patients. We are now looking for a PTP to the clinic who wants to become part of our experienced team.

Your Mission

During your year of PTP (practical training for psychologists), you will begin your development towards a professional identity by applying the knowledge provided by your psychology education. PTP offers practice and in-depth knowledge in the psychology profession and its various areas of responsibility and competence within an organization. By applying knowledge in practical psychological work under supervision, conditions are created for professional activity in an independent position. All PTP psychologists within the field of psychiatry are offered to participate in a PTP program. The program consists of seminar series and study visits in various areas and activities within and outside the field of psychiatry. Time and opportunity are provided for reflection and experience exchange within the PTP group.

PTP training at Uppsala University Hospital is conducted according to the guidelines of the National Board of Health and Welfare. The training includes both individual-focused patient work and other psychological work.

During your PTP year, the clinic will provide you with good experience and knowledge regarding psychological assessments, neuropsychiatric investigations, and treatment of neuropsychiatric conditions.

Your Qualifications

A degree from the psychology program.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is engaged and curious. You should have good collaboration skills, flexibility, and be attentive. In the hiring process, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability to ensure that our clinic becomes a good workplace for you. It is important that you have an interest in or experience with neuropsychiatry.

We Offer

We offer a fixed-term employment for one year at 100%. Start date according to agreement.
